I started the PCA Pigment Bar. It's bigger than I thought it would be. I only put it on the right side of my face to see if it'll break me out. It's creamy, green in the jar and smells weird. It smells like calamine lotion you use on itchy skin. It's ok, just thought that was odd. No burning sensation at all. One review said it would burn but nothing for me.

Ahhh, the soap did burn my skin. Good thing I didn't use it all over. A night sleep helped atleast. Maybe it was because I left it on for a couple minutes like the instructions say? Oh well. I think I'm going to try Cerave lotion again but not use it all over.

I didn't get my normal "big" pms zits. They were just small pin size white heads. I stopped the pine bark extract for more than a week now so maybe it's the acai working the best.

Still no big breakouts and the pms is over. I have started taking 4000 mg of vitamin D because that's what I have been hearing on the radio and reading online. I started using the PCA Pigment Bar all over my face now and using a q-tip to spot treat the red marks with the PCA Smoothing Toner.

I'm taking:
Acai: 1000 mg (might go to 2000 mg)
Zinc: 200 mg
Vitamin D: 4000 mg

Yeah, I have been using it for over a year. I used it two times a day but now I only really wash with water or my PCA Pigment Bar.

My skin is looking so good. The only bad thing that happened literally overnight is that I got these random little dots on the side of my chin as if it was a rash. Maybe it from the vitamin d? It's very strange. I don't think it's from the PCA Pigment Bar because those dots would be all over.

Wow the comparision pictures are really amazing!!!

it's not just the acne and red marks gone, you have such smooth skin now, your pores are so tiny now!

I was thinking that even when i stopped having acne i would never again have the quality of skin i used to have. But (sorry but) your skin was about as bad at the beginning as mine is now

wow, you give me hope

Thank you for having this blog and these pictures

Thanks. I think my pock marks are getting better too but I'm not sure. I'm really impressed with how the inflammation has been going down. I used to always have a red and inflamed face but now I can actually see normal skin ha. No need to be sorry, I know it was really bad.

I used to. I have used a lot of different oils but I haven't used any for two weeks now. My skin is very oily so any type of lotion or oil makes me oilier.

Hey acnejean!! smile.gif

I need some help.. My right side was totally free from any active zits.. but 2 days ago i felt a tingling sensation and i knew a zit is going to pop up.. so i iced it .. then in the morning a small white zit appeared.. i ve been puting bp on it thinking that bp will dry it out but now its kind of bigger and inflammed.. and will obviously leave a red mark.. what do u think i should do when i get such small and apparently harmless zits which turn into bigger zits. Should i stop spot treating with bp and leave it to heal by itself? Should i use manuka oil or neem oil? or something else ?

Ice doesn't really help me at all. It may even be damaging your skin more if you're using the ice cube directly. If you really want it gone, put a hot wash cloth over the zit and it should come to head faster. You can pop it then or use bp on it. I think the zits gets more inflamed because of bp. When I would treat one zit with bp and one without, the one without would be less inflamed. You can try manuka oil, it's kind of like tea tree oil but I didn't really like either. Neem oil clogged my pores a little so I only used that on huge cystic ones and it really only got inflammation but not the puss. Oh and you can try other spot treatments that have sulfur listed.

Last week Monday, I did an experiment. I hadn't been breaking out and wanted to see if it was the diet so I bought a box of Sugar Babies candy and ate the whole box. It was disgusting lol. It was just made out of different types of sugar and milk, two acne creators.

Maybe on Tuesday or Wednesday I started to break out. I was looking in the mirror, and I swore I saw them pop up before my eyes! They were spreading like wildfire all long my chin and under my mouth. None of the pimples were on my cheeks, forehead or side of my face which was strange. Only one was badly infected and inflamed while all the other ones were pin size zits like some rash but I know they were pimples. The one that was infected had dark yellow pus and I used to only get those from a bad diet or something was happening inside my body. I would never get those from a product I was using topically.

I say that because I also started using the PCA Pigment Bar for a couple days before that so it really could be either of them but I'm going to stick with the candy because that box had 128 grams of sugar in it. Yikes. Since I hadn't had fake sugar in so long, I was a jittery mess and felt horrible. Makes me glad it's not an everyday thing.

Just in case it was the new soap, I stopped and went back to the Likas papaya soap and when the breakouts die down, I'll go back to using it on half my face again to see if I break out. Right now, I only have a couple pimples but they're small and should heal. When I looked in the mirror, I didn't get as upset as I would in the past. I just told myself, "It will heal. It will go away eventually." because it was true. My skin will be in pain for a couple days but if I eat healthy it will heal itself.

That's why a moisturizer should always be used after it.

Ok, my skin is back to being clear. I'm still spot treating my red marks with the PCA Smoothing Toner instead of using it all over because it will dry my skin to death. I have been back to using the PCA Pigment Bar all over my face for a couple days now and no huge breakout which means the last breakout was from the sugar.

I want to see if I can go back to eating tomatoes. I miss them!

I bet that the Acne.org membership will go up a couple days after Halloween because people will get sugar induced break outs.

Yeah, in the sunlight at an angle, I can see some. I don't believe there is a natural approach to remove them. Only by microdermabrasion, dermabrasion or chemical peels.
