don't worry, they will normalize. they'll normalize if they weren't already scars to begin with. indentations caused by acne scarring will also be prevented. the steroid seizes scar tissue from forming if caused by inflamation. the indentations caused by the cortisone are temporary. i've had some done with no indents. some had indents but raised back up after a few months.

and if the solution's not diluted correctly for facial skin and acne use, it may cause these indentations I heard. the injections are also used for joints and other parts of the body. the grade used for the face is different - i think there might be a certain level of potency for each bodypart. also, the last doctor who did this on me put way too much in it too by the way.

I also had a cortisone shot gone bad in Oct and it left a huge indent in my chin. It finally filled in by Jan and now is completely gone. It will take some time, but should go away.

you dont really need to worry, ALL my indents (about 4 over 3 years) from cortisone shots eventually surfaced after a few months. I know it looks bad right now but it'll be unnoticeable soon!

hi to all:

well after 1 month my skin is 85% pops-up after cortisone injection.

I have a question to all of you. Last 2 weeks, i lance a whitehead with a needle(so that the whitehead pops-up), but for 3 days the whitehead keeps returning. i have another 1 cortisone shot in acne(about 3 mm bulging) that has a whithead(this is it i am talking about that i lance it)..The whitehead is like .5mm, The doctor injected cortisone in the whitehead then it bleeds( i try this coz am afraid that the acne will inflamed if i leave it alone). The doctor told me he injected only mild diluted cortisone about 1 cc. Yes, after 2 days it healed and the whitehead didnt returned.. But After 2 long weeks(this present time) it did leave a small pit, about the size of a whitehead. I was wondering why it did leave a small pit??Could it be the doctor inject the cortizone in the whitehead and coz scars coz the whitehead bleed??i mean the pit scar is not the size of acne(about 3 mm),but it was the size of whitehead..again will it be back to normal(to all people who undergone this procedure acne with puss or a whitehead injected)..Is the derm right that she said the whitehead or puss must be removed , then inject a cortisone??

I will update my excision this coming tuesday after stiches are removed.. sad.gif
