I have a cluster of all popped pimples on my chin ( them seemed to pop themselfs) and when I get out of the shower, they are open as in the scab has fell off. My friend told me to apply Hydrogen Peroxide with a q tip on the popped pimples when open to disinfect them and clear them up fast. I just tried it and boy did it sting. I followed up with a moisturizer because I know it drys the skin out.
Does this work fairly well to popped pimples?
Anyone try it?
ALSO off topic but, when the scab comes off, there is this clear liquid that comes out for awhile... what is it?... should I just keep patting it off with a tissue or is it like a scab trying to form?
Hydrogen Peroxide on POPPED pimples?

HP kills bacteria, so I believe yes, it will help. As for the other question, that's probably oil but I might be wrong.

I just updated about this in another thread, so Ill post the same thing here....
Ive recently bought Philosophy's Acne Kit which is HP based. You can view my thread here: http://www.acne.org/messageboard/I-just-pu...ee-t197609.html
I have updates & pictures posted. I never really had acne until about 3 ... 3 1/2 yrs ago or so. I went from really clear skin to constant breakouts on my chin and forehead. Very red areas and I would pick which it made it worse.
First off - I would say donttttt pick! Ive stopped and it has made the biggest difference in my skin. In the beginning I left all the white heads alone, which was bit embarrassing, but in a week or so they go away on their own and because theres no more squeezing and irritating your skin very few will form.
As far as Philosophy's acne kit goes, I love it. The blemish serum contains 2.0& salicylic acid and the hydrogen peroxide protection cream is NOT straight h2O2 like most people are talking about. It contains water, alcohol, h2O2, polysorbate 40, sorbitan palmitate, & tocopheryl acetate. Now Ill be honest with you and say I dont know what some of those things are however, its not straight hydrogen peroxide. Its diluted. Philosophy is a major brand that is sold all around, if they were putting out something that was harmful for skin I dont think their skin line would be as well known or as credible as it is.
It has helped for me and is continuing to work. I say give it a try. It does sting, but its killing all the bacteria.
As far that clear liquid stuff -that happens to me too, I have no idea what it is. When I used to pick and that would happen I would put a little piece of tissue on it and then take it off when its dried up. Kinda like when a guy cuts his self shaving. Haha.
Hopefully HP works for you!

Hydrogen peroxide kills granulating tissue. If you simply must use it, rinse with saline after using hydrogen peroxide.
