hi everyone, i'm new here. i signed up to ask a simple enough question, which i can't seem to find a clear answer to anywhere online.

i have had rosacea and noticeable redness for over a decade. a few years ago a red vein line began to appear on my upper lip and has since gotten larger. i understand this is called telangiectasia (i think). anyway, is laser or pulsed light the only way to remove these lines or can they clear up on their own? anotherwords, if you get your rosacea under control and the redness clears up or at least greatly diminishes, can the red veins also clear up without ever getting laser treatment? alternatively, are there any natural methods or home remedies anyone knows of that can help clear the veins/telangiectasia up?

they may fade to purple but probably not going to resolve on their own. i havesome on my body. ipl or other true lasers can get rid of them completely.

sometimes for larger veins and tele's they will inject them with different saline solutions which collapses them and the body resorbs them. another option

I agree with fraxelwaxel. Even if you reduce your surface redness, the vein will at best just become less noticeable. Usually a series of IPL/laser treatments are best for this. It may also take 3-5 treatments to see the results you want, but if it is only a generalized area, treatments should be much cheaper than they would be for the whole face.

Thanks both of you for the response. I can't afford laser treatments so I guess I will just live with it. Or grow a beard.
