Hey,

I'm so pleased that this has worked out for you. I've been following your thread for the last year, so I'm delighted that the long path you have followed has worked out so positively. I always felt the fish oil was a great substance, and made a lot more sense than 'possibly being sensitive to oranges, egg yolks or white cabbage', which came out with food sensitivity testing. It's also brilliantly backed up with all the research that is easily accessible out there on the internet, and I'm just amazed that some marketing department of a fish oil company hasn't latched onto it yet!

Anyway, thanks so much for all the info you've posted on here. So many people will benefit, me included!

hey romeo,

first of all congrats, i'm glad you've finally found your cure and share it with us.

why are you using cod liver oil and fish oil? isn't the only difference the vitamin d in cod liver oil?
also, 1 serving equals one teaspoon (5ml) right?

how well would the olive oil and the fish oil do without the other supplements working together synergetically?

The main difference is the retinol (natural vitamin A) contained in cod liver oil, it's very important. I will post the entire resource of research I have with retinol and acne when I can compile it together in order. But basically it helps to regulate oil production, especially in conjunction with zinc. Hence why they are paired smile.gif I hope that helps, and also answers the last question, about how they are important together.

yep good information

i actually just started doing this regimen just this past week.

we'll see how it works!

Awesome! Keep me updated, let me know if there are any differences in our regimens so I can advise accordingly. It has to be perfect smile.gif.

Thanks so much! And no problem whatsoever, I need to post more information to back it up but will do that soon. But in the mean time I posted the regimen for people to try if they wish to.

Hehe, I wonder if fish oil companies could do that, though I can imagine that they can't make claims as such so they can't run with it.

Thanks Helen, once again smile.gif

Hope this thread keeps going. I have to say when I added Flaxseed oil to my supplements was when I really noticed a big difference.

I haven't tried fish oil, but intend to. I already take a small supplement of fish liver oil (Vit A.). The olive oil unfortunately did nothing for me, but it may work for some. That's great,

I really think it's about finding the right oils for you and combining it with a total (mind, body, fitness, diet, exercise, spirituality, supplements etc.) approach that resonates not just in your skin, but your whole life as well. Good luck everyone!

Hey Ndn, i have the same question as demorph in that i am wondering how many mls consitutes a serving?

I am specifically interested for EVOO. Atm i will start by assuming 5ml equals one serving.

Hey smile.gif I got some questions.

1) If im already using Olive Oil when im cooking (im also using Flax Seed) should I be taking servings besides the amount im using in my food?

2) What are the "basic" nutrions, I mean when we're talking food? Im currently on a Low Carb/High Prot/Fat diet where im avoiding sugar because im dealing with Candida. Do you think I should back to scratch after im somewhat clear, or do you think I should adjust my diet afterwards?

I guess Low Carb/High prot is pretty basic?

pcpwns: Check NdnRomeo's response to Demorph, it's two posts above yours. You could technically replace the cod liver oil with two doses of fish oil, but you miss out on the retinol that helps with regulating sebum (face oil).

tobias: 400IU is what I take. Try to find the lowest dosage possible, vitamins tend to be more than 100% of daily value anyway.

listener: You're right, 5ml is one serving. 4 servings the entire day is recommended. I try to get in 2 per meal, but I'm really bad at this. It goes pretty good with salads if you mix it with tangy dressings, like italian. I heard it's decent on eggs too. I tend to be underdosed since I'm not a fan of the taste either. BLAH.

MrFabolous: The olive oil should be added to food after it's cooked. Otherwise the intense heat from the cooking reduces the effectiveness of the oil. As far as your diet, I'm not too sure about adjusting it since you're treating the Candida. Sorry.

I know most of the questions were toward NdnRomeo, but hopefully this helped somewhat. I follow his regimen pretty closely and so far it's been great! I just hope they fade some of these redmarks. =/

And let's just say this regimen has taken care of stress related acne too heh biggrin.gif

Hello Romeo. Did you have oily skin before you started this method? If so, has this helped with sebum production at all?

Thanks.

Nope smile.gif Just keep reminding yourself that if you breakout after consumption, it is not a direct relation. Your breakouts today are due to what you have done in the past. Your current skin will be what you were eating a month back. New skin forms at a cellular level, one which you won't see till three weeks in. So keep at it! I used to always do that too, blame the nest item I put in for my recent breakouts. That would hold me back for so long. Then finally I said, let's be logical about it, and just went for it all. I even thought zinc was a culprit at one time.

I can say it has for sure. Some days I don't even wash my face at night anymore and I am still okay. Not so much just the amount of sebum. But also the quality of it, it's much better, and it also nourishes my skin instead of clogging it up.

JT answered the rest of the questions. If you still have a specific question, feel free to ask smile.gif

Also yes, the olive oil is after cooking, make sure and try not to cook with it.

I have just started this method and it is too early to tell how it's all going to work out (obviously). I am having one problem though....the olive oil. I can take the fish/cod oil and the supplements just fine...but the OLIVE OIL! I CANNOT stand the taste of it. It's like i'm drinking motor oil! I tried putting it on my salad but all I could taste was olive oil. I tried "mixing" it with water but most of it stuck to the cup itself and ultimately was only drinking a small portion of it.

If anyone knows a better way to down the olive oil please share! Thanks!

Really sad.gif I quite love the taste of olive oil. Especially when you go to italian restaurants and eat it with the bread they serve, I guess you don't like that taste either huh? redface.gif Hm, hiding the taste of the oil will be hard to do, since it is pretty potent. It doesn't taste good in the salad too?

I'm having trouble with the olive oil too. The fish and cod oils are easy since you can put them in a drink.

Luckily the rest of the regimen works well so I don't take as many servings as NdnRomeo does, but I wish I could figure out a way to blend it into something to make the taste invisible!

How about mixing the olive oil with lemon juice? I make my salad dressing with EVOO and lemon juice and add some spices. It's so good I can drink it by itself. Try it smile.gif
