No, nothing at all. I had been washing my face with Cetaphil every morning but I stopped that since I started the no-wash regimen.
I just took a shower and got my face wet a few times. It feels soo good. I didn't rub it though, and when I got out, my face looked pretty good. Usually it's all red and hideous because all the oils are wiped off. So I'm going to see how it goes and maybe just get the face wet every few days like waterwater.
You're approach is kind of the whole idea I gained from doing this, Obviously you can't go forever without washing your face but after the tenth day I washed and everything looked really clean, my old instincts would be ok I need to start washing everyday again, but I waited like three days instead and then my face still looked clean and thats what I"ve doing since. The initial 10 days were like the skin building up a barrier, and when you wash once it still has part of that barrier up and its only the top you are cleaning, so then you go another couple days and wash again and you still have part of that barrier. If you were to start washing everyday multiple times again you will gradually wear down the barrier that had accumulated over the no washing time. Hope this makes sense to anyone trying this, if you go whatever amount of time not washing don't jump right back into washing multiple times a day again, wash once and then let your face relax again for a couple days.

Try washing your face once for about five seconds in the shower with lukewarm/cool water without using your hands, then give it a couple days before you wash again, this is whats working for me.

Yeah! Their lyrics could use some work but their music is mind blowing.

Washing probably sounded wierd to people b4 there was soap. I'd gander they did not have an acne problem as we do 2day...

I agree that bacteria would build up over time, but I'm not saying that people should quit washing forever, instead, I noticed that my face responded really well to being left alone for about ten days, had I continued forever without washing I probably would have a skin disease, but I washed once then waited another couple of days until doing it again the purpose being to give your skin a break from irritation and bacteria won't grow over a couple of days.

The bacteria are there to protect from pathogenic bacteria and foreign invaders. It shouldn't cause a skin disease. Now wether it helps acne or not for each individual is another story....

Thats an interesting idea I never thought of. Maybe skin has a kind of micro-ecology of bacteria that need to be kept in balance, similar to intestinal bacteria in the gut. If you take alot of antibiotics you kill all the beneficial bacteria in your gut and when stop taking them its like a gold rush for bad bacteria to come in and colonize. Is it possible that something similar is happening on our faces?

It's only when other things are set into motion (inflammation, abnormal skin shedding, clogged pores etc.) that the bacteria pose any problems. Otherwise they are always there protecting from foreign invaders- wat i was led to believe at least and it makes sense...

Update: Day 3 or 4??? Can't remember, I am so busy right now... Well I cheated this morning and yesterday morning bc I slept with castor oil on my face to try to moisturize it a bit because my skin wasn't getting oily in the right places (esp. bc of my makeup but hopefully over the weekend I will not need it)... but it was only with water and only some wiping, no scrubbing or anything, my skin wasn't "clean" after... -sigh-
This is really annoying
