hi
i got bio-oil ages ago however when i tired it my skin got very red a slightly itchey ( an allergy probably). so maybe people with sensitive skin should use it cautiously.

however it it relatively cheap and it seems to be available in most chemists and health food shops here so if it for sale in ireland it must definently be available in the uk maya!!

i hope it works wounders for ye

Well..i saw results after about 3 weeks! i applied it twice daily, morning and night, but they recommend that you use it 3 times a day, but i dont really have time to apply it in the afternoon.

wow!! thats so quick....hope i can see results that quick

i just gotto ask, when u put the Bio-Oil on your face does it absorb quickly or does it take some time to absorb completely?....

because when i put it on my face it doesn't seem to be absorbing, maybe i'm not doing something right?

the bio-oil smells really nice smile.gif

For me, on dry bits of skin it sinks in almost immediately, but on normal skin it sits there for ages - I don't know if it even sinks in completely, I get fed up and slap on some powder biggrin.gif

I haven't been using it for long enough to notice any difference in scars/red marks, but I have noticed how incredibly soft it leaves the skin. Softer than anything else I have tried.

Yeah it does take a while to absorb, but i blotched any excess oil with a tissue.

I have been using it for 5 months post needling and subcision. My subcision holes are shrinking and it is good for skin texture and toning. As far as filling in craters on old scars, i don't think so, but on new scars it works. Six weeks ago I had a seborrheic keratosis burnt out of my face and it left a 0.4mm crater. It has healed up very well with Bio-oil.
It is cheap as well so if you don't think it is working for scars just use it as a moisturizer.

will wat do you mean i prefer it to copper peptides and did it help even out your skin.do you think it will be good for african americans.

Copper peptides is a skin biology product topical used for skin tone and scarring. I used this after my treatment but wasn't happy with the blue staining and felt it wasn't healing my skin.

I would think that Bio-oil could be used for all skin types. It can be used as a moisturizer but don't use too much or your skin will look greasy. It absorbs pretty quickly unlike plain vit E.

Like any product, give bio-oil a few weeks to months before seeing any decent results.

Just wondering how everyone's results are with this. I am searching always for a good moisturizer and something to get rid of red marks from old pimples.
Let me know.

Ive been using Bio-Oil for 3 weeks and like the way it makes my skin feel soft, plump and gives me a nice even skin tone which glows! Ive been using Emu Oil, Jojoba and Camelia Oil and those these oils are fantastic, I feel confident that maybe Bio-Oil can heal red marks.....overtime! but in the meantime get it for overall skin tone and softness, its great for that!

Do you think it would be okay to use Bio-oil while on Roaccutane?

I have a 2 week old indented scar that needs treating biggrin.gif

I don't think this oil has AHAs in it, so it should be fine as a moisturiser.

FYI Here is the ingredient list for Bio Oil:

Ingredients
Contains: Paraffinum Liquidum, Triisononanoin, Cetearyl Ethylhexanoate, Isopropyl Myristate, Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Lavandula Angustifolia, Rosmarinus Officinalis, Calendula Officinalis, Helianthus Annuus, Glycine Soja, BHT, Bisabolol, Parfum, Cl26100

worth noting - Sage skincare gives Isopropyl Myristate the highest skin clogging 5/5 rating and 3/5 irritancy rating
