I am 41. Had moderate acne in my early 20's. Also a LOT of sun. Now dealing with some scarring and lots of sun damage. I have had 4 microderms, 4 Skin Genesis Laser treatments and am now using the Obagi NuDerm system (with RetinA). All are giving me very good results. Scarring is minimized, skin tone is 100% better, and moderate acne flareups have minimized. Still very oily though but thankful that I don't have a lot of wrinkles at my age, which I contribute to the oily skin. With all the sun I have had, I should be leather skin but I'm not.

It's difficult to deal with acne/scar skin issues over 40....but with the laser treatment and micros, I am definitely seeing a difference. It can get very expensive but the results seem to be worth it. Also have controlled some of the acne through diet and a vitamin regimine

Sometimes you just have to opt for the skill of a doctor and latest technology. Lasers are truly amazing these days and a lot have no down time. Something to consider....

When you started using the Obagi package how did your skin react? Did you break out into pimples? How is your skin now - a few years later - following the laser genesis treatments? Do you need to still go for the treatments? How bad was your skin before you started all of this?

YOu still using Obagi? Sorry to bombard you with so many questions - just curious!
