After six months of thinking diane 35 wouldn't work my skin is perfectly clear. I stopped all other treatments two weeks ago and I can even get away with not washing my face at night if I'm lazy. I don't plan to make a habit of it though. I have no active zits, a couple scars here and there but they are gradually fading.

I took diane a couple years ago and it cleared me up perfectly, I stopped because I thought it may have been a contributing factor to my depression. My acne got terrible right away and I suffered through it because acne is much better than depression. Well I have a new family doctor who told me there were studies done and that is just a myth so I started up again right away.

Yay! Yay! Yay! It was definitely worth the wait.

so how bad was your skin when you started the Diane? i've been on it for a month and a half and have seen no improvement, but my acne is moderate. i'm just wondering if it's going to work...

Your post def helped me!! I just started month 6 of Diane with not that much improvement yet. I'm hoping that soon I can see results! Thanks for letting us know

Can u let us know how bad ur acne was, where it was concentrated and if ur acne got worse before better?

I'm sorry to say this, but as soon as you stop again, you are likely to have the acne return.
This always happens, because the BCP is only a temporary fix, like most oral medication, when you stop, it returns.
It sucks.
