This is so strange. I didnt wash my face all day - and then I applied this mud mask from dr hauschka that I havent used in ages and left it on for an hour. After washing it off I had all these plugs sticking up from my clogged pores - just like I get from retin a (but more). Will keep using this mask at least a couple of times a week.

Had way too much skin peeling off my face this morning.lol. Ive also found that I can no longer use liquid foundation, not so much because of the dry skin but because of the plugs sticking up from my skin. Of course these are tiny, but you can still see them clearly thorugh the makeup (at least when you're an inch away from the mirror:P) Perhaps compact foundation would be better..

Ok, so chin seem to have cleared up quite a bit. Not quite sure what's going on with my forehead and nose though... seems like everything is coming to the surface - and I just want to hide:( Ive decided that I will stick with this until november/december, and if my skin is not completely clear by then Ill go on a low dose of accutane. I alternate retin-a with PC aha some nights, otherwise my skin would be way to dry. And then I use PC bha 2% liquid every single day.
Im looking for a moisturizer to wear at night . Im thinking of splurging and getting chanel hydramax+ moisture boost cream. My friends keep raving about it. Anyone tried it?

So, it's my 3rd day of accutane - and I took my 2nd 20mg pill this morning (with peanut butter). I've got a bit of a backache, but it might just be a coincidence:) I use a moisturiser by Kiehls which seems to be working pretty well, and this morning I woke up with a nice matte face. My face is a lot less dry than when I was using retin-a, and I don't have to remove flakes from my nose anymore.
When I bite my bottom lip and stretch out the skin on my chin, it seems that every pore has white plugs sticking out. Hopefully others will think it's just dry skin. lol. I even have clogged pores on my ear lobes and around my lips that seem to be surfacing.. I would never be able to get rid of those with retin-a.
My nose is looking very, very clogged. I tried to gently extract some blackheads yesterday which left some red marks. They took hours to fade. Guess I won't be doing that again.
Anyway. I think I will start a log in the accutane section, so if you want to follow my progress, please go to that section. I will update with pics in a months time.

accutane will def clear up your clogged pores/blackheads..the problem is keeping it that way post-tane!
