Poaching is like boiling but lower heat and a small amount of liquid. You can poach meats too. I always poach salmon, then throw some spinach on top to wilt and stir a little mustard into the broth for a sauce. You can also poach or boil chicken, then you'll have stock for soup or whatever.

yeah. They say browning and grill marks we love are badness.
Moist, non-browning/charring methods are the best healthwise.

Sorry but both are horrible fats and highly proinflammatory.

I use extra virgin olive oil raw (for dressing salads and raw or cooked veggies) and virgin coconut oil when I cook. Coconut oil has been shown to rev up a slow metabolism. It is rich in lauric acid, an antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal and antiprotozoal agent, which can aid in the elimination of viruses, bacteria and other nasty stuff. The medium chain fatty acids in coconut oil have antifungal properties and has been shown to kill candida and other fungi in the intestinal tract, further supporting a healthy intestinal environment. More and more people are swearing by it as a major helper in getting acne under control.

Both starches and meat/fish form cancerogenic substances when they're fried or grilled.

That's why I don't brown my meats!
Note that browned or even burned meat does not give me acne even if it's grilled over open fire. But I still think it's healthier to avoid eating such substances every day.

You should add some healthy fats to your diet. Eat chicken with skin. Butter or Ghee. Red meat etc. That will put the weight back and give you energy.

Like omega-3s, they help in the formation of prostaglandins, hormones that keep all the cells of the body functioning well. arn't omegas suppose to be less imflammatory?
i've noticed virgin oils good too
