So in my constant search to find something that will ACTUALLY do something for my skin I decided to try witch hazel, my skins always oily awhile after washing so besides the affects I'm hoping it'll have on my acne I'm home it will help with this too.

The only problem I'm having with this so far is the smell; oh man I opened that bottle and applied it to my face and was almost sick. eusa_sick.gif Reminds me of one bad night with some tequila. lol.gif

Does anyone have anyways to tone down the smell of this, or am I just going to have to like.. hold my breathe until it goes away?

I've been using witch hazel on my body, to prevent random stray pimples and keep the backs of my arms clear (I think I get KP on my arms).
I bought this witch hazel at a local health food store that has lavender in it and it smells really good. It doesn't smell like witch hazel at all (which I agree, smells nasty sick.gif).

The brand is Thayers. It's an alcohol free toner, lavender witch hazel with aloe formula. Witch hazel is the 2nd ingredient, after water. The ingredients are really good overall and it's been great and gentle on my skin. My arms are clear and I've kept stray body zits at bay.

As for making what you already have smell good, I don't know. You might consider buying some lavender water and mixing some in.

I wont be able to go out and buy any lavender until this weekend -- and I don't know if they sell that at walmart either way.

.......... I'm just not sure if I can put up with that smell again, it literally almost made me sick, I spent almost a minute with those horrible dry heaves. sad.gif

I've got some tea tree oil but I'm not sure that'll help.

I use witch hazel, and I agree that it smells horrible. I've become used to the smell though, and now it doesn't bother me anymore. I think if you keep using it, you'll just get used to it like I did.
