Did anyone get redness while using Retin A???

Redness is a very common side effect of using Retin-A (as well as for any retinoids).
The best thing to do is to try applying it once every other day (or 3 times a week, or twice a week). If you still notice irritation, just increase the length of time between the applications.
The important thing is that you don't just completely go off of the medication.
Most people's skin can recover and not be so irritated if given some time between applications.
