Ive just got a new lotion that contains Salicylic Acid and ive noticed im getting alot more blackheads than i usually do. Will i get more blackheads at first, or is this product just causing me some problems?

No it shouldn't get worse before it gets better, atleast not if it's blackheads you're getting.
When talking about things getting worse before they get better the case is usually that you have pre-existing pimples below the surface that haven't come out yet and the drug forces them out to sort of clean your skin out.

This usually happens to me to when I use salylic acid products. I'm not sure why, but I can tell you, I have in the past used a whole tiny bottle of some lotion with salylic acid among other things and not seen any benefits from it even though both my friends absolutely loved the stuff.
