Doctor prescribed me erythromycin and differin. I am curious if anyone have had this combination and if it helped, thanks.

i was on both,but not at the same time. differin i found was awful.sorry to put a dampener on your new regimen,but i hated differin.made my skin burn and itch like crazy,then eventually made my skin x10 worse.erythromycin was ok.

I was on that differin and erythromycin at different times but I did both. Erythromycin is one of the milder drugs for acne and for me, it worked only for 3 months before I start breaking out again and I have mild acne.
Differin was ok but I didn't like it much because it wasn't giving me the results I wanted. I prefer the stronger retinoid Retin-A to differin. If your skin can't handle differin, don't even try Retin-A, it will make your skin worse because of the irritation rate.

I'm on Erythromycin now and it took it more then 6 weeks to work. Probably around week 7 is when I saw results, taking 750mg a day. So far it has done a decent job of keeping me clear but im only heading into week 8. Im hoping to see even more clearing. Give it a good 8-12 weeks on the erythromycin before you judge how effective it is.

it was like two years ago when i saw the derm he was like oh ok u have acne vulgaris take this dfifrin home and use it gave me samples well after only three days my skin was peeling soooooo bad i was gona cry out loud then went back he said ok heres a prescription for erythromycin im like ok its started to kick in within a month i used it for six months it worked for me but i was planning on getting pregnant so i stopped long before.
