Dear all,

Need you advice, help. What is the difference within these 2 products?

Since most of the UK users recommended Eucerin moisturizer, i went to Boots & looking for it. I was thinking to get the Dry Skin Relief Face Cream with 5% Urea, but the staff recommended me to take the Dry Skin Replenishing face cream 5% urea & explaining the former will make my skin more shiny. After i applied the replenishing cream, my face became oily within one/two hour. I have really oily skin, if I swap to the Dry Skin Relief Face Cream will I get the same impact? Could anyone share with me if they have used these before. Thanks a lot.

I cannot tell by ingredients listing which is better for the facial skin. There is a Replenishing formula meant for the face. The Dry Skin Relief one is meant for the body, not the face, according to the Eucerin website in the UK (I just checked it out).

I've kinda stumbled along the same prob. Well i havent actually used the moisteriser because they do did not have it in boots. They had every other eucerin product apart from the dry skin relief face cream. So frustrating. Will have to try another boots.

Hi all,

Here is an update for everyone. These two are actually the same product cos I have confirmed with the supplier. They have changed the name of dry skin relief to Dry skin replenishing, so its the same.

Anyway, I think Eucerin broke me out ....I still have the same thought after my second attempt. Did Eucerin broke anyone out before?

Nope, but I think the Night Cream did.

I only used this for like a week because i wasn't to sure about it because of the name change.

I don'think it broke me out, well i didnt have any spots during the week i was using it. However did have some breakouts afterward but thos spots were already there. Those are the spots they you can see under the skin but that havent actually come to the surface.

I have got back to the DKR moisteriser for the last 3 weeks and i have had breakouts. Come to think of it i haven't had a clear day since i have been using this so i think i will go back to eucerin.

I Would really give it ago just maybe use in moderation, but also try adding jojoba oil to it if its not effective enough. I believe this is a day mosteriser, so one idea is use this during the day and either jojoba oil by itself or jojoba oil with a another mosteriser at night. I personally use jojoba oil with a oil free mosteriser at night with the Eucerin cream during the day (using jojoba oil during the day will make your skin really shiney....nots good smile.gif ). Id recommend giving it ago im sure your skin will thankyou for it even if it doesnt clear pimples.

Eucerin replenishing Urea 5% replenishing body AND facecreme (I LOVE both) are my heroes!

I have tried so many cremes now and some broke me out, some made me dry etc...and everytime I tried a new one I had to go back to Eucerin (and I will stick with it now) as it really is the best.

It doesn´t say that it´s non pore clogging but if you actually look at their ingredience list (of the body and the face creme...I even prefer the BODY creme...it´s even tougher and better) they seem to be fine.

Most of their ingrediences are either o points and maybe three are about 3 points...

I use so much of it everywhere in my face(about 1mm thick) that it would have broken me out badly if pore clogging.

In fact: I can always test it on areas where I´m acne prone but don´t break out tho badly there anymore...

I only use bpo on my underpart of the face...so my forehead is always bpo-free....I do get spots there from time to time but only if my skin gets irritated there...so if I leave this area alone I normally get no spots there...

So I use the Eucerin creme EVERYWHERE on my face...even on my forehead (which is bpo-free). With Eucerin I have never had any spot on my forehead...even when its literally covered with a thick film of Eucerin...

If I had any pore clogging creme on my areas without bpo my entire area would be full wit new spots...

I know this as once I tried a new spf lotion (which I wanted to combine with the Eucerin creme...basicly as my daycreme...as Eucerin has no spf).

So i used this spf-creme everywhere in my face. Next day I already had cysts on my eyebrows etc...so spots on my forhead and forhead area...

As this didn´t happen once with my Eucerin creme I do think that it can´t be pore clogging at all (for me).

All you can do is trying it out...it can be different for everyone but for me Eucerin replenishing creme was always the best so far.

I used the eucerin replenishing stuff with 5% urea after applying bp, I waited at least 20-30mins.
And it made my face go red and burn like a M****r F*****. I rang my pharmacist and asked of it was because the urea latches to any moisture and causes it to penetrate deeper into the skin, so did it latch to bp and enhance it's effect ( which since I started out a few days ago with the bp you can imagine how badly I reacted). He said I was bang on. Anyone else had this problem?

I used lots of jojoba oil the following night and skipped the bp and my face was back to normal so I continued the regimen.
