i'm on my 4th antibiotic and the derm has yet to even bring up the topic of accutane. i think it all depends on the patient. i believe because i'm a male, my chances of my acne going away on its own are higher than that of females, so going on accutane might not be the best option for me. this is what my derm told me, and it does make sense. she said that it's more likely to have adult female patients with acne than male adult patients. so antibiotics and topicals are a good way to tame the acne in the mean time.

I am currently into martial arts and am taking Tae Kwon Do.

I am a christian, used to be Catholic, now Evangelist
I have a younger brother 5 years younger who doesn't have acne problems. I am also kinda short only 4ft11, 149cm so I dislike people who make fun of my height.

I was on doxycycline, erythromycin, minocycline and dianette(pill) before accutane was given to me. Had done Retin-A and differin also. Currently I'm also still on a topical antibiotic clindamycin together with accutane.
