My guess is that the blackheads are being brought closer to the surface, which is why they appear darker. I would take it as a good sign that the SA is doing its job.

Oh thats great. Does this mean if I use a pore stripp to take them out it will be more effective if I start now?

I personally don't like pore strips, but if you're a fan, now might be a good time to use one. Since the SA is bringing the blackheads up closer to the surface, using a pore strip now might be helpful, or even doing a gentle manual extraction. I find that the SA doesn't totally get rid of my blackheads, but it loosens them up enough so that I can extract them easily.
