This is my first post. I haven't seen any posts on the subject of sebaceous hyperplasia, so I thought I would start one. I just turned 40, and have started to get hyperplasia on my forehead. My derm wanted to use a laser to remove them, but I wanted to try something a little less expensive first, so she prescribed retin a micro. I have been using this for 3 months now, I am just now starting to see it work. They are starting to shrink in size, and no new ones have appeared. Also, my acne is gone!!! My skin is looking so much smoother from the retin A.
I just want to encourage anyone who is suffering from hyperplasia, if you are on Retin A, hang in there, it works, it just takes a long, long time. Don't give up.
