i switched from monocycline to Keflex (cephelaxin) about 2 and a half weeks ago bc mino wasnt doing anything, not making better/worse. My derm put me on cephalexin and although my acne didnt get worse, i noticed that i am now breaking out on my chest in very tiny little red bumps...i never used to break out there before, maybe very rarely. I also notice that on my forehead, my pores look more clogged, and before it was completely clear. I know it has to be something internal because i use differin at night, but i put it on everywhere except for my forehead, therefore something else is making my forehead break out, as well as my chest.

could it be an allergic reaction to the keflex? or the switch from one antibiotic to another? ...or is it just stress and hormones, because i am around the time of my period....

what would an allergic reaction look like? and is it possible with antibiotics?

An allergic reaction is possible with antibiotics....but i don't think it would be an acne breakout seeing as an antiboitic just kills bacteria, it doesn't matter what type. It should help you clear up and I would say your breakout is hormone related. An allergic reaction could be a rash or having difficulty breathing. Those are prolly the most common allergic reactions, also swelling is common.
