You can try dropping bp and use finacea for couple weeks and see how you like it. I completely stopped using BP because it's the reason that I have red marks, and there are no IBs from using finacea.

Finacea is antibacterial. Although there are mixed findings regarding whether it is better than BP or not. I use finacea on my less acne prone areas once a day, and then 5% BP on just my chin/jawline at nights (along with an OTC retinoid). The combo works well for me.

I've found Finacea much less drying than BP.

I wouldn't replace BP with Finacea if I were you. I switched up my regimen to use Finacea for two weeks and my acne got worse. My acne is pretty mild and before switching to Finacea my face wasn't bad. Although it made my acne worse, I think it did help my skin tone. The trade off between more worse acne and skin tone wasn't worth me using Finacea.

I've been on a particular regimen that seems to be the most effective for me. In the morning and at night I cleanse with a BP 10% that I leave on for five minutes and then rinse. After cleansing with the BP in the morning I apply GC level 9 and then sunscreen moisturizer. At night after my BP cleansing I rotate every other night between Sal Acid 2% + Mandelic Acid 15% and GC level 9.

BTW, I'm also a fellow Hokie smile.gif Graduated in '06. Go Hokies!
