I've been on Tretinoin 0.1% for about four weeks and I was wondering if it would be ok to add in a mask every week? I was thinking about the Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque -- but I don't want to add it in if it'll be too irritating? Or if it'll reverse what tretinoin has been doing so far?

I'm also wondering if washing with a tea tree oil cleanser is a bad idea too?

Or how about tretinoin at night with 10% BP cream in the morning? Sorry for so many questions, there's just a lot going through my head.

Using Tretinoin at night and BP in the morning is a good regimen. The mask shouldn't really be needed, and it may add more irritation. You'll get results eventually regardless.

HOWEVER, don't ever put BP on top of Tretinoin, as this will make the Tret unbalanced and it won't work properly.

I've started to incorporate the 10% BP in the mornings and I think it's just another initial reaction but a ton of little whiteheads have popped up everywhere. I read in one of the other "retinoid info" topics that 'BP just irritates the skin and increases barrier damage.'

Is this true? What other types of topical antibiotics can you use with retin-a to control the initial breakout then?
