Hello everyone,

I got some frustrating news from the derm today... turns out her assistant wrote my regimen down incorrectly 2 months ago and had me washing my face with a BP cleanser at night before applying my retinoid (I've been alternating Retin-A with Taz, soon to go completely to Taz.) Apparently, she said, these two drugs can cancel each other out. ?????

I've also been using a sample tube of Duac for spot treatments in the AM and PM (given to me by another dermatologist)... and because this is BP as well I'm wondering if this has been doing the same thing?

Would anyone mind taking a look at my regimen and telling me what you think??

What I've been doing:
AM: Cetaphil cleanser, Duac spot treatment, Moisturizer
PM: Clean n Clear BP 10% wash, wait 30 mins, apply Retin-A and Taz on alternate days, apply moisturizer, then apply Duac spot treatment last
MEDS: 100 mg Doxycycline 2x day, YAZ birth control

Thanks so, so much!
Suzanna

i asked my derm about this last week cause i use a BP wash and retin-a together as well. she told me that it's not true, she actually told me to put my retin-a on a stridex pad (which contains BP) so it will spread the retin-a better and i wont have to use a harsh 5.25% wash
