I currently use Tazorac and also use AHAs with no irritation issues. I'm switching to another retinoid; will I likely be suddenly too sensitive for the AHAs?

Tazorac is generally considered the most harsh of the retinoids, and the most effective for stubborn or severe acne problems. Therefore switching to anything else shouldn't be an issue.

I'm switching to Retin-A Cream, because Tazorac doesn't work well enough after 9 months. I sure hope my face's chemistry thinks it's stronger. sad.gif

Edit: Tazorac never irritated my face, even at the outset of treatment. My first day on Retin-A is no different.

There is always a chance Retin-A may work better. Sometimes Tazorac is too strong and can make your skin worse due to irritation. Sometimes your skin just likes one type of retinoid more than another. This is why some people get irritation from Differin, but not from Retin-A. Just depends on your skin. Good luck.

Thanks. I've got my fingers crossed. smile.gif
