I have just learned of its exsitance and I was wondering what peopels experiences have been with it? I am curious to try it out but leary about it.

Its the only way to really get the stuff out other than squeezing with you fingers which I believe is more likely to cause scarring. The extraction tool may cause scarring too if you're not gentle. Be very very careful. Try mandelic acid if it's blackheads that are troubling you, this will make them easier to extract with a tool if you decide to go that route.
