Just curious, for those of you that have purchased or made your own home use acne lamp, how long before you saw significant results?
I have the Verilux acne lamp and have been using it at least 5-6 times per week and am unsure of the results. Perhaps I need to give it some more time and perhaps a new product I tried caused a breakout about 2 weeks ago. Otherwise, about 1 month after starting, my skin was CLEAR for two weeks! Nothing new and then a huge breakout that I am just now getting over. Just curious about others results and experiences!
How long before you saw results with your home acne lamp?

I've got a Dermalux lamp. I find it doesnt stop breakouts but it makes the spots dry up really quickly and gets rid of red marks from previous breakouts.

What regimen do you follow to help keep breakouts down? Thanks!
I wash my face in the morning with pH neutral soap and lightly exfoliate. Then I put on lots of moisturiser (neutrogena oil free) because otherwise I get really flakey skin. Then after breakfast etc I buff off any flakey skin with a clearasil wipe and put on a little bit of moisturiser under my makeup.
Evening I take off my makeup with clearasil, wash my face with the soap and then use the lamp for 20 mins. Then I put on lancome pure focus moisturiser which is magic if you have oily skin.
