Oh no oh no I think I have a cyst on my face. I'm so upset, I'm literally panicking after seeing how bad cystic acne can get. Four days ago there was just a harmless pimple that I didn't even TOUCH and now I have this huge hard red spot on the side of my face! I've restrained myself from touching it but it gets worse! A month ago this side of my face was completely clear! I've never had anything like this. I am really panicking here!
How do I get rid of it before it gets worse!? PLEASE! I just doused it with 10% BP and am thinking of putting anti-biotic cream on it???

When I touch it it does not hurt but it is hard but squishy at the same time, like there is some lidquid-solid consistency undeneath my skin. Oh god, I'm seriously frightened out of my wits.

Doesn't look quite like a cyst yet in my opinion..the best thing you can do is just ice it for a couple minutes (but not directly in contact with ice). I wouldn't suggest rubbing all this bp and junk on it; it may aggravate it. Cysts usually are harder I think than papules and that looks like a papule, and cysts are usually sensitive/painful to the touch.
If it is a cyst, though (i.e. it continues to swell), DO NOT aggravate it. You will 100% get a scar that will last longer than you ever want it to.

it may be a cyst. if it feels hard like you say it could be. i get them too. i'm not a doctor, but you my want to combine an acne regimen with an antibiotic. see if this helps. what do you use for an acne regimen? you may want to stick with a regimen that includes some acne fighting ingredients such as bp and salicylic acid. i know it sucks...stay strong and remember others are going through it too.
