I'd more so lean toward severe. BP might be useful, although you'll probably get a hundred people telling you to jump onto the accutane wagon.

Looks moderate to muah... Shitty lighting can make older redmarks stand out more, which probably made the pictures make the acne look worse than it really is.

Yeah I am not sure what to reccomend since you have already tried accutane. I am in my own dilemma about whether to try it. Would you reccomend it? Did you have bad side effects from accutane?

I wouldn't really recommend it and I did/do have bad side effects from it.
Most noticeable to me is a subtle change in behavior i.e. more antisocial, and scars that would have healed had accutane not other wise rendered my skins natural healing mechanism useless, I understand that this is fairly common. But meh, it cleared me pretty well and am very grateful for that, but it came back and I am now finishing up my second course. I hope I can find a viable alternative like BFGs regimen, because I am beginning to feel more and more Dependant on it, which could be considered another side effect.

So to the OP, I seems apparent that accutane is not your answer with it being your third course and what not, so yeah I recommend you try BFGs reg, not, because I am on it, or it made me clear, but because it seems to be the only option left that I can still be optimistic about.

i have the same type of acne/scarring on my chest that you do...i hate it..
my face however has cleared up great on tazorac..im so thankful that my doc put me on that before accutane...ask ur derm about a retinoid (tazorac) for it helps with scarring and unlike accutane helps ur skin to be healthy again....something about restoring the collagen...good luck....

I think you should get a second opinion from another doctor. If you don't get any better information from them I think you should continue your efforts in getting information on your own through the channels you are currently using and possibly others. It appears it may be bothering you more than others around you can tell. I wish I could offer some more help for you.

Yours truly,

Dr. 13
