Aspirin mask is also great, especially if you can't afford the commercial products.

Another vote for the aspirin! smile.gif

I've been using the aspirin mask forever now. Drinking lemon water and exfoliating with glycolic acid have also really helped fight off the blackheads/whiteheads.

Hmmm. Everyone seems to rave about the Queen Helene mint julepe mask though. I've been tempted to try it....Is it worth it? eusa_think.gif

I say yes, it's worth it. It's cheap and it's also a great spot treatment.

I like to massage an oil into them and then dunk a clean muslin cloth in to hot water, wring it out and then massage the oil off. The steam and the oil suck all the gunk out.

Hey star, how long did you use the OCM treatment before they went away? I did it nightly for a week, stained a couple shirts with oil, and got a breakout of blackheads on my inner cheek below my nose. I hardly ever get that. I freaked out and squeezed the shit out of my face and one week later, I'm starting to look normal again.

Also, and really - no offense, but if any of these are sure fire ways of treating blackheads, how come people have several different ones they use. If any of this really worked wouldn't you just use one, and it would slowly become accepted by everyone? I know acne is different for people, but blackheads?

I use an extractor now. Those things really do work.

What works really well are pore strips, the ones where you wash your face, then stick them on, wait for them to dry and peel them off. You have to peel them off really slowly and keep you skin taught but they are magic for getting rid of black heads. I use them all over my face (even though they are only supposed to be for your nose).

If you are really hard core and DONT have sensitive skin you can wash your face with a face mask first and then do the pore stips. If you do that tho you have to be really careful you dont pull all your skin off!

Charl, you don't know what you're talking about. They aren't "magic" for getting rid of blackheads, haha, if they were nobody would have blackheads. The real secret is out in the open because there is a post here about it. Mandelic Acid. Inquire about it.

I don't have blackheads but I have these tiny blocked visible pores on my chin. I have been tempted to use those pore strip things on my chin to get rid of them. What is a good brand to get and would this work, do you think?

They don't work. I wouldn't even try.
