I've had acne since I was 12 or 13 and it started to go away this summer after using Dan's Regimen. But then when school started and I went to college, it seemed to get worse all over again and nothing seems to be working now. I just wanted to see if it looks like I have severe acne or nodules? And if I should consider going to a dermatologist for a prescription treatment instead of testing out different over-the-counter products?

Do these count as nodules?

I think I mainly see a whole lot of papules/pustules, but they're covering a decent amount of your face, so I definitely don't think you'd be laughed out of dermatologist's office.
Edit: This is just my own personal dividing line, but how much do they hurt? Your pictures look like you might be pretty sore. If your face is hurting enough to distract you on a daily basis and/or the pain has interrupted your sleep, it's not too early to call in the big guns.

I think I'll think into seeing a dermatologist, I've stopped using any products in the last week or so because I'm not sure what will work and what will make it worse anymore. =[ But it doesn't hurt at all, unless I'm like pinching or poking at them.

I think I might just be a giant wimp or something. Each pustule usually feels like a bee sting to me. Multiply that by some for cysts.
But yeah, I don't think you're completely crazy for deciding to see a derm.

I don't know much about nodules or many of the definitions and treatments being discussed around here yet, but I'd head to a dermatologist. Hopefully he/she will have some suggestions for you. If not, maybe it's time to look into your diet and consider adding daily supplements?
