My doctor gave me gel with 1% clindamycin for my mild acne. I used it on my entire face.
It worked very well, I saw changes after 1 week and in 1 month I was clear.
However after 3 months some zits started to appear and I just got a huge breakout.
Did bacteria become resistant to it?
Should I switch to benzoyl peroxide? I have very flaky skin in winter...
Clindamycin stopped working?

Benzoyl peroxide is even more drying. I don't think the antibiotics will become resistant after a couple of months. A couple of years, yes.

If you are worried about antibiotic resistance you could try using hydrogen peroxide or alchohol just for a day or so (watch the alchohol, drying); no bacteria can survive that.

Thanks for help guys.
Then I guess clindamycin gel is comedogenic.
I am currently testing acne.org regimen. My skin is red, dry, flaky, swollen, but I hope this will go away after weeks.
I still like BP more than clindamycin and sulfur which I used before. If it doesn't work I will go to dermatologist.
