I've on my 3rd week and so far my face is worse. I'm hoping things turn around here very soon. However, my derm said it can take 6-8 weeks to work. But I'm skeptical. When I was on doxy, it only took a couple of weeks to clear up my face and it did NOT get worse before it got better. If mine was still worse at 7, I'd be back in the derm's office trying to get something else though. I don't think I can take much more of this getting worse myself. I've already got an appt for Dec 5 to see my derm again and that's only about 5 weeks into my treatment. Good luck to you!

Yeah I was on it for about 4 months and didn't really do anything for me. The most that i can say it did was tame my acne, but not clear it. I just went back to the derm today and he gave me doxycycline, which is just another antibiotic; my hopes are pretty low. But i have heard that mino has worked for some people. I never had an initial breakout with the mino, but i would just give it a try for like 3 months, and if you don't see any clearing, then it's not working. Good luck though!

My Doctor just put me on mino, he said to try it for 6 weeks, if there is no improvement he told me to call him and he will prescribe me some Retin-A.
