I have moderate acne but two months ago I broke out with cystic acne below my right eye. The acne has since healed but its left a red blotch under my eye and the skin there is somewhat raised. I'm afraid it looks like it won't fade on its own and I'm hoping that laser is the answer. I have my derm appointment next month. If laser is an option what is the recovery time and how soon should I see results? I've heard you come out looking worse soon after the treatment but once the redness calms down you see the results. That turns me off of it in a way. I do need to work and would hate to go to work looking worse than ever.
