I hope this is ok. I saw someone else selling one on here a while ago.
I have a Beautyskin acne light for sale. I haven't used it for a few weeks because I'm trying to fight off acne with holistic methods now. It's in good shape and I got it back in April. I used it for a months but then stoped for a few weeks. Then I was using it again for a good 3 months but then from there I would use it for a while and then stop for a few days here and there. The bulbs still have plenty of life left. The only thing that might be different from when it was new is the timer. I was trying to use it for a while at night when everyone in my house was sleeping so I held the timer still so it wouldn't making the ticking noise that it does. After that the timer got a little weird so now if you turn it as far as it can go, which is a little past the 15 min mark, it will go for about 15 min. I usually us my cell phone or a clock instead of relying on the timer. Also it won't come with goggles because the strap/stretchy sting thing that was on it to hold them around your head broke so I just used some white string. Plus I doubt you would want used goggles...I wouldn't.
I'm asking $140 shipped obo. I got it for $300 brand new. I only except pay-pal. If you have any questions just ask. Also, I'll get pictures of it if anyones interested.
Thanks,
Mike

Hey Mike. Do you have to have the timer ticking to turn the lights on? Or is there a switch and the timer is just for knowing the time that has elapsed? I was thinking of getting this because my daughter might benefit from the red light treatment. I have been reading that it stimulates collagen. I would appreciate a pic or two of it. Thanks, Dan

You have to have the timer running for the light to turn on. Thats the only bad thing about the Beautyskin lamp. I took some electronics in high school and I was thinking about opening it up to see if I could put a switch in it but I don't wanna mess it up since I'm trying to sell it. The timer is just like one of those kitchen timers with the knobs you turn if you know what I'm talking about but louder. One of these...
Kitchen Timer
I always put on a pair of headphones to listen to music while I used the light. It's a pretty decent size lamp. Everything about it is good except the not being able to turn it on without the timer part. I also have the original box it came in with the owners manuel.
Also, I'll snap a few pics tomorrow and hopefully have them up on my computer tomorrow(Thursday) night.

I just noticed I forgot to add that I'm only shipping in the US. Might be able to ship elsewhere but the price would have to come up a little.
Also, it appears if you really wanted to you could due without the timer all together. The lamp has 4 screws in the back so you can take off the front of the outer casing if you ever need to replace the light bulbs. I was curious and took it off to see what's connected to the timer. Theres just 2 wires connected to the timer which I'm pretty sure are just a positive and negative wire so you could just hook those up to a toggle switch. Then cut a hole in the front of the case to put the switch through and 2 holes to put screws through to hold it in place. I'm not 100% sure on that though cause I'm not sure what's all in the timer but from what I see you can tell a switch should be able to be hooked up. I wish I knew 100% cause I kind of want to do it. lol

Sure - I'll take it and I'll let you know how changing out the switch turns out. I'm a sucker for small projects. I'll PM you details.

Ill do the same thing so let me know if you find anything interesting out when you get inside. Do you think that's a low voltage wire that the timer interrupts? I would assume so....

Hey blacksheiladog, I sent you a message about if you were still interested in it or not since I have others interested in it also. Wasn't sure if you got the message or not.
Also, I don't have the pics up anymore but I can still email them if needed.
EDIT: Nevermind I just saw your reply in my other post. lol
