They went down considerably during/3 months after accutane but I did still see a few appear whilst having no oil production on my face. I am going to my coked up derm this wednesday and want to try Spironolactone as my skin is EXTREMELY oily. Does anyone think this is a good solution?
Little help? By the way - my skin is very sensitive and I am prone to flushing so I don't think Retinoids are the way to go for me.

my daughter has the same problem and in the same area as you. She even has these on her temples and a few on her cheeks and jawline. Her chin and mouth are the worse....funny thing is though, she does not have oily skin. She is usually dry and flaky and red. I have noticed that certain makeup makes hers worse. Her regimen currently is dermagel in the am and BP at night and a salicylic toner. I have to say that these are the most stubborn and annoying pimples in the world. Wish I could be more help.

well, the dermagel that my daughter is using is a milder vitamin A. Made by the same doctor that invented retin A. But derm-a-gel is milder and for sensitive skin. I think differin would just be way too irritating for my daughters skin.

Does anyone know if Dermagel can be procured in Australia? I am too scared to use Differin. I searched the Retinoid Forum and have decided that I don't want to risk it, especially pre-Uni.

I'm on Accutane now (low dose) but used to have mild acne and bumps on my chin and around my mouth area. My Derm. said I had adult acne and maybe perioral dermatitis. I didn't have acne as a teen but guess not lucky now I'm 39. Anyway, my Derm. said to use toothpaste without Sodium Lauryl/Laureth sulfate, which is in nearly all tooth paste. I bought Rembrandt sensitive which is without that ingredient. Also, check all your cleansers and hair products - most hair and skin products have that ingredient too and some are allergic to it (get bumps).
Good luck.
