I was just wondering, do you think stress has anything to do with acne? Now I'm not saying im depressed or anything, I have my ups and downs like everyone else, but I remember in the begining of the summer everything was going very well in my life at the time and my face cleared up very well. I thought I was going to be good for a while. Later on in the summer alot of things didnt go good for many diffrent reasons and I started to break out with cysts and everything. Now I know alot of it is genetic but I have a feeling some has to do with stress. I try to always get my head up and stay happy but it is hard the way my face is, which I know you all understand. I have recently taken a week off from football becuase my helment just tears up my face. I am still waiting for accutane to takes its corse but I beleive it will work. So just tell me what you think about the whole stress thing.

i heard stress can trigger acne. But it depends on the person too, kind of like eating chocolate can trigger pimples on some peeps.

From my own battles with acne, I'd probably say stress is a real trigger. But then again, sometimes when I've been super stressed out, I won't get them. For some reason I'm starting to think mine come with a change of weather. But I just don't know! When I bring up my cysts to friends it bugs me so much when they ask what the cause is. Well seriously, I tell them, if I frigging knew what the causes were, I wouldn't have the cysts! And they ask me everytime I break out. Very frustrating. It's good that you took a week off of football. I think just going home after school and not having to put that helmut on will help. You won't have to sit in class all day worrying about it either which will probably relieve some stress. Keep your chin up! This too shall pass, as my grandmother always says. It's true though.
Listen to my grandmother!
Oh, as for it being genetic, I seriously have my doubts on that one. No one in my family has bad skin like me. They all have this gorgeous smooth skin and Christmas dinners are pretty stressful.
