1) elidel is it safe to use for long term despite of skin cancer chances
2) elidel along with acne antibiotic does it makes skin sun sensitive
3) fucidin h cream if used for a mild case of sd how many % chances are there it coming bck with a worst flare up
4) how diff is flutivate frm it wht is the mechanism of both on the skin ( i mean flutivate and fucidin h )
5) any natural products available for sd which is completely safe with no risk of side effects and equally effective like elidel and protopic
6) any otc treatments available for sd like light therapy, peels or sumthin...
plz... give sum inputs wht ever u feel like if u have any qs which u would like to ask plz be free and post it

Eczema,Sd,dermatitis are all so easy to control (unless v severe/chronic),its unfo. that we experiment too much & dont use the med given prop or not guided by the doc prop.
In my opinion do not use elidel over 1 month even if your doc says so.Just when u clear up which should be within 7-10 days -if u only use elidel -apply it for another 2 weeks after complete clearance. I got totally clear from a terrible flare up where every part of my face was red like a tomato and every cm of my face peeling,it looked like teabags coming out of my face, compared to that you have nothing and all it took me was 7 days to be totally cleared up.All i did was use cutivate for 7 days and after clearance protopic for 20 days maintanence and thats the tradtional way to treat - now i look even better than how i looked before my flare up.
If fucidin h is hydrocrtisone its useless.Seriously i would use a class one steroid like Clobetasol propionate for 2 days and totally clear up than use this junk thinking hydro is safer- when its so mild how do ppl expect it to treat the prob. for long term.
And if flutivate is exactly as cutivate then its about 150 times more potent than hydro but very poorly absorbed by the skin compared to other steroids of same strength, they say its as poor as hydrocor. so skin thinning or atrophy is almost out of the question if used properly.
The only other way my face looks good is when i jog and sweat ,it gives me mild acne on occasions but my whole face just glows prob cause of the good blood flow.
Keep us posted on what your doctor says and good luck with ur app. and everything.Let us also know the treatment u choose .

I dont have any pictures that would show you how bad my SD was. I never take pictures that up close. However, it was always red, inflamed, itchy and sometimes i would scratch it so bad that i'd have minor cuts and scratches on my face. The SD on my cheeks and nose would get really bad and you could literally see the build up of grease and dead skin. based on your picture, i would say you have a real mild case of SD compared to me.
anyhow, when you put on the tersi foam, there is no pain or stinging or any sensation at all. i noticed after a few days to a week that the peeling and itching sensation of my skin went away. also my skin got much thicker in a good way since it wasnt peeling any more. this drug definately built the natural barrier system of my skin and this is the only medication for SD that i used that helped me. if tersi is not available for you, maybe you can try something else with the same active ingredient of selenium sulfide.
to finish answering your questions, i used it straight for 2 weeks once a day.
once i noticed that i had no more scaling of the skin, i stopped using it. the SD on my cheeks went away completely but after a week of no medication, the skin on my nose starts building up. so i guess for now, i use it once a day, once or twice a week.
i'm hoping that this will cure my nose eventually. it did cure my cheeks!

Did she answer all your questions?.Antibiotics and antifungals together again sound v weird to me-but your doc knows best. From what i saw in your pics- elidel is enough to clear everything-if you have a flare up you will need to use a steroid first.Did you ask her about cancer and skin sensitivity from antibiotics and elidel together?.Your acne looks mild and can be controlled by any topical used properly.Anyway do what the doc says and hope everything goes great good luck. For elidel it may sting you and make you red after you apply to 2 hrs from application for the first 2-3 days-youll be fine in the morning.Dont give up you may itch like hell as well control yourself,if its extreme check with the doc you may be allergic .

I just found a website with several of them, haven't tried them yet, but definately will.
http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/rosacea.html OR
http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/seborrheic_dermatitis.html OR
http://www.rosacea-ltd.com/rosaceadiet.php3
Also, I imagine you'd have amazing ayurvedic doctors in India whom I'm sure would be able to help you. Especially rosacea seems to be an obivous pitta condition that any ayuvedic doctor should know how to alleviate...
Good luck!

antifungal is a single dose and after 3 days i have to start on minocycline (100) 1s a day, 'elidel' i asked her abt the cancer risk but she say i just have to use it for 15 days abt the skin sensitivity thing she told me to avoid sunlight as much as possible she has given me a sunscreen of her clinic incase i go out. no i havent asked her abt mino and elidel wht will the combination do she jus told me mino will help reduce redness and will control my mild pimples not coming to head. il do a patch test for elidel for 2-3 nights ok dude tell me when u started ur first application of elidel how long did u keep it on and while applying it on the face do u have to rub it in circular motion or just apply it downwards upwards motion...
ive got my next appt in 20 days...
thanks

i have been to a ayurvedic doctor too, tht time my skin wasnt in a position for any treatments so he put me on sum tabs and sum tonic which i took for a mnth then i got bored of it wasnt even helping so i left it, he had asked me go for 1 treatment in which it cleanses ur body frm inside completely but after he saw my prev reports tht i had been treated for blood cancer he denied me frm availing the treatment.
ive been taking homeopathic medicines also but i dnt feel so its helping.

The regimen i use helped me stay away from it the longest but it did come back, but after a long time and not like before.I used betadine skin/scalp cleanser as my shampoo 2 days a week and betnovate scalp application -the first 5 days i used it morning and night then the next 7 days once a day then the next few weeks twice a week. But betnovate is a steroid so you have to be a bit careful. But if you dont want to do this i find the ducray shampoo v good but as i said once stopped it will eventually come back.
Oc8 is the best oil reducing/acne product ive used, its fabulous no acne and normal non oily skin but while you have Sd its not wise to apply until pretty much clear.I doubt it will help the redness it will make you look better though,i feel the oil makes the redness look worse.
Cutivate will clear your redness peeling in 4-5 days but chances are it will come back later on but ch less,so you may also need elidel or protopic to make sure its totally in control for a long time.Your doc will know best what kind of treatment you will need specially since diff people have diff degree of SD.Hope everything goes well for you good luck.
