Well you guest it i'm still breaking out mainly on the right side of my face and forehead after using retin a for 2 and a half months!
Have i wasted yet more time on another so called acne clearing product?
Just thinking about it makes me so angry and depressed
I Also tried using clindamycin in the daytime like some do but that made the breakouts worse with larger painful spots.
I have my next appointment with a derm on the 1st november and i know hes going to try and fob me off with more crap.
So maybe its time to go private and get my hands on Accutane as its my last resort and the only way i can see of ever regaining any self esteem back that this disease has taken from me!

You're on a Retin man. You gotta stick that bullshit out for MONTHS upon MONTHS. Time is NOT on your side....hell you've stuck it out for 2 and 1/2 months. Might as well give it another month...i mean hell, they're supposed to work. They just take like what? 3-4 months?

my acne used to be worse on one side than it was the other and finally i realized i slept on the side it was badbad on. try washing your pillow cases often and don't use fabric softener. maybe try using a fragrance free detergent, as well. who knows, it might help.

Have you seen ANY improvement during that time? Retinoids can take 4-6 months for full effect, but you should have seen SOME improvement, even if it's just a little bit, by 12 weeks. If you feel like you haven't seen any improvement at all, ask your derm. He/she may give you a little higher strength.

Are you using a cream or gel? I had problems with the tretinoin cream breaking me out. The gel has been better for me.
I wonder if the clindamycin caused an allergic reaction...it's just a topical anti-bacterial basically, so it seems weird that it could make something worse. How long did you try that for?
In any case, if after 3 months you've seen no improvement whatsoever, than it's probably time to try something else.
