Ok I'm starting Accutane next week. I have big wedding to go to in the Bahamas this December. This is two months! I'm totally excited but in a way I'm scared that my face will not be clear by then . To anyone who has been on Accutane can you please tell me what your results were like after two months?

I'm at about a month and 1 week in and i'm just know starting to see the benifits, but they are speeding up, I think if you keep your hands off, you might just be in the "clear". But in any case dont let acne ruin your fun, but i wouldnt suggest combining alcohol with accutane. Accutane + Alcohol = Liver Failure. Good luck!

I think the resuts differ from person to person. I think with everyone at some point the acne gets a whole lot worse before it gets any better. I had very dry skin for a while which came went then came back then went again. Just be patient the treatment can take a long time smile.gif
Have fun!

It took me about two months to begin seeing really great results, although in my case I had some bumps and lumps that started melting within several days of commencing treatment (everyone is different, please bear that in mind)

Avoid alcohol during the time-frame you are being treated.

I also think people respond differently to Accutane . My skin immediately started clearing up and I never had an IB either. If your skin is not clear for the wedding, try talking to your derm and he might prescribe a short term course of an antibiotic or prednisone to help you clear for the wedding.

I am the same. Never really had an IB and it just got better and better the whole course through. Two months is definitely not enough time to be "clear" for most people who take Accutane though. For me, I was a lot better but not completely clear.
