I'm interested in getting the Vbeam laser done for my redness. For me it's on my cheeks, chin, around my nose. I have an appointment next week with a clinic i've heard good things about.

But i'm just wanting to get as much information as i can. Has anyone had it? Things they can share with me about it? How long it takes to heal, how it helped/didnt, side effects, etc etc??
ALSO, besides getting rid of redness, does the vbeam do anything else? (like smooth out your skin? i've got some KP issues on my face ... tiny tiny bumps)

Thanks so much for any help!

I would strongly reccomend you get a second opinion (and a doctor's opinion) about what kind of treatment would work best. Think about it like shopping around for a car. Even be upfront about your situation - clinic X advised me to take treament Y, do you agree? I find clinics are likely to promote treatments according to the machines they have available to them. They seem really keen & helpful, but in the long run it is better to receive opinion from neutral professionals. It will save you alot of money and wasted time if you do your research ... from someonoe who's been there, done that.

I have not had the V-Beam treatment done, but I am going to have it done with my next subcision treatment (my dermotologist likes to combine Subcision with V-Beam, so I am thinking about blasting my face and see what happens). From what I understand its great for removing redness and smoothing out the skin (or atleast the appearance of scars). I am also interested in hearing a few personal opinions from people who have had it done.
