Has anyone tried this product? I'm looking for something that will safely fade my red marks, even if it's only temporary. I think concealing them with some effective bleaching creams would keep them at bay until they naturally fade. This Meladerm fading cream is so expensive, though... $50! I'm also worried that it will cause breakouts or make my pale skin even lighter.

Has anyone used this product, or one similar? How did it work for you?

Alright, I'm on my fifth day of using Meladerm and NO breakouts! *knock on wood* All the little whiteheads that I had here and there are going away. I noticed this morning that my skin looks much more even now, less red. My red marks are still pretty much the same, but I wasn't expecting any change until I was closer to two weeks in (like the bottle says). Despite its price, I'm liking this stuff so far. sideways.gif I'll keep you guys updated.

Edit - I also wanted to say that since I haven't decided on a moisturizer, I haven't been using one lately. This Meladerm stuff makes my skin so smooth that I really don't think I need one.

I just bought the 3.4 oz and will add it to my regime. Looks promising! Am also considering some copper peptide products. I wonder where I can find that around? I think for the 6 months before I can do TCA or laser, I'm going to be using Tazorac, Aqua Glycolic, Beta Hydroxy (Neutrogena age defying facial wash), Meladerm, and maybe a Copper Peptide product and Cetaphil/Regenerist as moisturizer.

I didn't really like the Cetaphil moisturizer since it broke me out a little, but I hope it works for you. It does really well for a lot of people, so I think it depends on the person. Best of luck with your new regimen; keep me updated on how it goes! sideways.gif

It's only been a week for me, and the earliest results usually appear is at two weeks. It's been known to take up to two months for acne marks, though, so I'll post when I notice a change. Still no breakouts from this product, so that's good! biggrin.gif

It's been almost three weeks and I haven't noticed anything yet. My skin has become a little more sensitive this past week, and according to testimonials on Meladerm's website, this usually happens a week or two before any progress is made. Either way, I'm going to keep at it. I'm using an antibiotic on top of this Meladerm product, so it might be a little harder for it to penetrate my skin.

At first, I was rubbing the product in until I couldn't feel it on my skin any longer. I found today that I got a red zit (the first in weeks!) in an area where I'd apply extra Meladerm, so to those of you using the product - I'm sure you're not as stupid as I am, but applying the product lightly over your skin instead of forcefully rubbing it in will probably have even more of an effect - and it won't clog up your pores. Jeez, now this zit will be another red mark to add to my collection. xD

i just got meladerma a few days ago and actually i am noticing some changes. i'll report progress in another week or so. basically, i'm noticing that areas of my face are lightening/brightening, like the tip of my nose, and so i can see where the brown hyperpigmented areas are delineated from this a bit more. i'm encouraged by that because clearly it is doing SOMETHING, and i think that's a sign that it will help with the hyperpigmented areas.

I can't find the reviews for this stuff on acne.org. Has anyone seen good results with meladerm?

It is a laser/light treatment.
There are posts about it in the laser/light section of the forum.

Basically the machine sucks up the skin and while it is sucking gunk out of the pore it hits it with an intense light that kills bacteria and heats the underlying layers of the skin which results in collagen repair. It helps for: acne, rejuvenation (scarring or sun damage discoloration) and for hair removal - depending on the tip they use on the machine.

It is the first time I have tried an expensive treatment and so far so good. I have been getting the skin rejuvenation treatment for the red marks and it has reduced my breakouts and lightened up the marks a lot - some are gone.
I have had 6 full face treatments and 1 spot only treatment (I have 3 spot treatments left that I have paid for).

I got my meladerm today, so we will see if it helps. I won't be able to use it the week before my next treatment (may 20th) though because of light sensitivity from the Meladerm.

Hi Raquelle I have been using this for some months now. It definitely does work and is a worth investment for brown marks (i dont know about the red ones and I dont think they are caused my excess melanin). It has faded some of my old marks on one side of my face although not completely and it took about 6+ weeks to do so. Visible results after about 4 weeks although they claim 2 I think thats just an exaggeration. Depending on how large the area is it will last quite long. You don't need to apply much just small amounts dabbed. I find applying it 3-4 times as apposed to 2 works better over the day (but only small amounts at a time). I have been using it on some new marks and it seems to be working but takes FAR longer on the darker marks as opposed to the lighter ones. All in all its a definite because when combined with exfoliation it works so much faster. You need something eiter way to inhibit melanin production and although slow I dont think any think can work fast. Patience is the onyl way but im tellig you suffer out 2-3 months and you will be happy! Main thing though is to prevent additional breakouts that will only upset and you will blame it on the cream. Also make sure to only apply on the marks and no where else as I noticed some lightening on other un affected areas!.

Final conclusion: Works long term, slightly pricey but sitll worth it, slow process which can cause doubts about whether it works, but it does take some time to see results especially on darker marks. Low risk, doesnt clog pores but must prevent breakouts or will be dissapointed and use in conjunction with an exfoliant. Hope this helps! Dont buy the claims on the website, I really dont think you can see results within the 2 weeks and especially not within days as some stupid fake people mentioned. Good luck!

Does any one know whether it works in the back also? Because I have many dark spots on my shoulder and back those caused by acne.
