im starting to see a bit of a pattern now, im fine for two weeks or so then i have a really bad week on accutane,im starting my fourth and final month and my skin is still an absolute mess, this really gets me down, my chest is worse now then before as is my face and back. i really cant see me clearing in this final month and feel my worst nightmare is coming true. i was so scared of accutane not doing magic and if anything it has made me a hell of a lot more selfconscious and paranoid about my skin which i dont think will subside even if accutane does clear me but im highly doubting this.
ah i really wish this will work as i was determined to have a great year next year as this year has been really hard for me but i thought accutane would be a means to an end and i know im ruling out being clear and i also know others dont clear till right before they finish so there is still time but i just feel emotionally drained at the minute.
sorry to waffle on again but im just having a tough time.
also i am not trying to dishearten anybody who is currently starting accutane so im sorry if it seems that way.

wats ur dosage? i just started month 4, n just now i started seeing some results after 2 acne facials i got. my face isnt clear yet but its improved a lot, still breakin out. maybe u need more time into tane n a higher dosage. ask ur doc. u may also need some antibiotics. my doc prescribed me omnicef n predisone for the infection n inflammation n it really helped alot. so ask ur doc!!!!

lilly your derm shouldnt take you off if youre not clear yet. When you next go back she'll probably give you a couple more months. Its what mine did and then she gave me an extra month cause i was worried about coming off the med. Explain to your derm how you feel. Most likely he/she will be understanding.

I'm 5months and 3 weeks in..I've only started clearing. I wouldn't give up hope yet.
