I just started using this drug, I'm now on my third day of 40mg/day. I'm also on a diet, and I've noticed I stopped losing weight even though I'm still on my diet perfectly. Normally I'd see a slight decrease on the scale every single day but the last few days I've stayed the same. I'm wondering; is this coincedence or does accutane influence your weight? I'd love to hear from people who've been on this drug and how it affected their weight.

Sorry I don't have any advice but I found that it did effect me.

Sure I lost about 5lbs and continued dieting the same and no then loss since.
I suggest just keep plugging along on your diet so you don't GAIN weight because I bet if I dropped my dieting I would gain.
You may be one of the few unlucky ones like myself that gains on Tane.

Good luck!

Interesting, some people seem to gain on it and others lose! Thanks to both of you for replying smile.gif I wonder what other people's experiences are.

I don't think it would have any effect on weight, especially after only 3 days. It's perfectly normal for weight to flucuate 1-3lbs in a day. I wouldn't worry about it.

I know it's normal, but it's not normal for me smile.gif I haven't stayed the same weight in months for days at a time!
