This is just me, though, and everyone reacts differently. For instance, my roommate is on the same thing as me and it works wonders for her. As for me, does absolutely nothing; i don't even have any side effects! it's as if i'm taking a placebo.
Keep it up though for at least a few months and then you'll know whether or not it's working. Good luck with yours!
honestly hasnt done anythn 2 me ether:S i also tuk it for three months. i read tho that if antibiotics dont work. thts xactly wen you noe u must turn to accutane. i thnk thts wat il do:D gl 2 me. and whoever else will start accutane

and honestly
my skin WAS looking better
I was SO excited
unfortunately the week I broke out into a mass of hives
and started bleeding profusely out my nose
...
the exact same reaction (albeit a little delayed) I get due to my severe Penicillin allergy
so my doctor switched me to tetracycline
Turns out I'm allergic to that too
so I got switched to Ery-Tab
not allergic...
just doesn't work
needless to say I've stopped with the antibiotics
Good luck to you though

Also, how long have any of you been on topical antibiotics for? I'm using Clindamycin in conjunction with Minocycline, but I'm not sure how long people are usually supposed to stay on topicals.

When I saw my derm I was having the worst breakout of my life, but probably still mild. Idk, I've heard that antibiotics shouldn't be prescribed for anyone who doesn't have severe acne, but I wasn't about to argue with my derm.

does anyone know how long it takes for these side effects to subside once you stop the meds?

To those of you on it and loving it, I recommend sticking with it. If you are seeing results, it only gets better, seriously. I had never felt so beautiful than after using it and seeing really great results!

i've been on my topical for like 10 years! it hasn't hurt my face in fact my skin looks great, no wrinkles, dryness or thinning or redness. and as for mino, hell i'll stay on it until i'm damn well ready to come off it lol no time soon! i'm in no rush i don't mind long term.

It may be a delayed breakout caused by a moisturizer i started using (it coincided with the first of the pimples appearing a few weeks ago) and the oil from the daily application of the moisturizer has gradually built up and caused a breakout. However i stopped using it about 5 days ago and there hasnt been any improvements.
Alternatively it could be me becoming immune to minocycline. So i guess i have 2 questions:
1) is it possible to have a delayed breakout from a moisturizer and would it still continue 5 days after stopping the moisturizer?
2) from experience, does becoming immune to minocycline happen suddenly i.e within 3 or 4 days u have lots of pimples, or is it a gradual thing over a few weeks? In which case ive probably become immune and need to change to doxycycline or something.
Thanks..
