I have quite mild acne, but incredibly stubborn. Tried everything and only benzol peroxide kinda worked (and stained all my sheets, towels and pillow cases..). 2 years ago i went on a low dose accutane (aisoskin in italy) 20 mg. Cant remember if i ever raised it to 30mg. I LOVED IT!!! Skin was clear and i washed my hair once in 4 days instead of every day (wouldnt even stay clean 24 hours!!!). I was on it for 4 months, and 2 weeks after i was off i had to wash my hair every day again and skin started getting worse. It wasnt all back untill after 7-8 months though. Soo disapointing!! Knowing that my doc wouldnt prescribe me Accutane again I got it myself. Was taking 20 mg for a month and now raised it to 30 mg. Once again im taking Aisoskin and it seems that prescribing more than 40 mg is very not common unlike accutane. Even in the instructions it says 0.5 for 1 kilo and 1 mg for super severe cases.
I wonder if it works forever the second time. Maybe my doc prescribed me too low a dose.. i dont want ok skin, i want it PERFECT!!!! How many of u had acne come back after the end of treatment?? Whats the chance to stay clear??

I took accutane 8 years ago (when i was 14). I had to stop my course after 4 months because it made my ingrown toenails really bad i was clear for 7 years after that acne has returned, but nowhere near as bad as it was back in the day. Just make sure you dont have hormonal probs/PCOS if youre a female.
