A lack of exercise will be even worse as your muscles and such need an occasional workout. If you're scared of breakouts, an hour a week is enough exercise to stay fit (E.G. An hour jogging on monday and that's it for the week), more if you're weight lifting or trying to lose weight.

You can try carrying some gentle face wipes, after exercise, use them to wipe the sweat off your face. Even simpler, wash your face after exercise.. although this may be a bit of a trouble if you're doing it in a gym and your home is like 15 minutes away and you need to apply moisturizer / BP etc straight afterwards.

Something along those lines smile.gif

Yeah, I struggled with this idea too... but I think, as the poster above me pointed out, if you wash your face after, maybe carry around a towel, you should be fine. I think the benefits outweigh the risk... And think about it, its not like everyone in the gym is covered in acne or anything because they work out.

Our face gets redder because of extra circulation in the blood flow and the breakouts are usually due to sweat. I know my acne gets worse in winter because of lack of excercise (it's too cold and motivation is low) also hot showers are not good for acne. I know when it starts to get warmer and I'm more motivated to excercise my skin usually clears up. Do people at the gym really stare at us acne sufferers or is it just that we are surrounded by mirrors which remind us of our acne? If there were no mirrors we wouldn't see the acne and how red our faces were and we would probably just get on with the job at hand. Poo-poo to all the gym junkies who need mirrors to preen themselves infront of and make us acne sufferers more paranoid.

Lol about the mirrors in the gym... Dont worry about them first off, worry about your workout! I guarantee thats what almost everyone else is doing! Im pretty sure no one in the gym cares about your acne, at least your in the gym is the way to look at it.
