Hello, since Ive been on Accutane, I started noticing that my scalp was flaky and itchy at times, even after showering and shampooing. Does anyone have any input or suggestions on what to do, or use? I have a buzzed haircut (really short hair), so about 1/4" long, and I dont know what to do or use. Please help.

You might want to try a dandruff shampoo. I had some flaking and itching (without being on Accutane) and twice weekly use of Selsun Blue 2 in 1 has stopped that completely. Head and Shoulders, Selsun Blue, and Nizoral are all good but each has a different active ingredient. If you could find sample sizes and determine which one works best for you, that'd be the way to go. smile.gif Good luck!

Mine was the same way. I used Neutorgena T gel for itchy scalp. It has menthol to help relieve the itch and feels cool. The itch will subside on its on once your body adjusts to the med. It took me about 3 weeks in for that to happen. The flakiness will go down as well.

Hi there -

Wash your hair less and buy a good hair mask/conditioner to use. I wash my hair every other day (heard some wash 2 times a week) and do hair masks twice a week. Keeps my hair from looking dry and my scalp less itchy.
