When most people start on Accutane do they have full dose straight away? My derm put me on 70mg a day, and i'm wondering if i should take a smaller dose for a week or 2 and build up to 70mg?

I personally dont think a week or two will help "addapt the body" to accutane...especially if your saying it's a realy high dose. But you coud try taking a lower dose for a while... maybe ull start noticing some of the side effects

for my 1st course, my derm gave me 70mg a day for 4 months.
and for my 2nd course, a different derm has started me off on 40mg a day, and then increased it upto 70mg a day.

i am experiencing the same side effects as i did the 1st time around. no worse, no better.
i have dry lips, dry hands and face, slightly dry eyes. very occasional headaches.

my derm said that starting on a lower dose would minimise the side effects, and minimise the initial outbreak.
I am not finding this at all.
