Does taking benadryl while taking accutane lessen the effectiveness of accutane? Im talking about taking benadryl WITH accutane like at the same time. Thanks!

i don't know if it worsens the effect of accutane, but that's got to be AWFUL for your skin. i would not recommend it.

well, maybe it's not so bad for your's, but benadryl used to really burn my skin. adding that with accutane i just can't see ending ina good result because of how badly accutane dries your skin out. i also remember my derm telling me that you shouldn't do it and made sure i wasn't using topicals.

it's fine, i took benadryl for my allergies with accutane all the time. i don't see how benadryl can burn your skin.

Topicals are also ok to use on Accutane as long as they are not drying and used to a minimal extent (spot treat).

The OP means benadryl oral most likely. If so, it's perfectly fine to take it with Accutane.

Even if it is Benadryl topical, it's ok to use so long as it doesn't irritate your skin.

Benedryl contains a drug thats called phen..(something..) anyways you can look it up yourself. check out the side effects of benedryl use. It increases the likeliehood of short term rage type behavior. check out some websites about benedryl side effects. I figure the benedryl combined with tane combined with my existing attitude wouldn't be a good combo... as well as the myriad of other side effects it has. get a script for xyrtec or seomthing.
