Yesterday I was messing around with my hair and noticed a lot of hairs coming out. Now, I don't usually have a lot of hairloss, or at least I've never really noticed it, so I was kinda worried.
But, I hadn't not washed or brushed/combed my hair for 3 or maybe even 4 days (I only comb when washing because my hair is wavy and frizzy). So I thought that maybe the loose hairs (you lose about 100hairs a day I read) just got stuck in my hair from those past days and because I don't comb they all came out when I ran my fingers through my hair and such...

then I washed my hair and the hairloss was normal. The drain wasn't clogged or anything. Just normal amount of hairs in the drain I think.

Then I put on some product and noticed quite a lot of hairs on my hands.

but now. I DON'T wake up with hairs all over my pillow like many people describe on here.... and when I ran my fingers through my hair just now only one hair came out and I think I actually pulled it out because it hurt. haha...

so now what's the deal? Am I having accutane hairloss or did I just happen to lose a lot of hair yesterday because I hadn't combed my hair in a while?

i'm confused and really scared I'm gonna get thin ugly hair. I have thick hair and a lot of it and it's quite pretty sad.gif I'd like to keep it.

Just keep an eye on it, if your washing your hair less because it isn't getting as greasy as before tane it could well be because of that, either way it very very unlikely you will experience any serious hairloss, plus your a girl so your very unlikely to suffer anything permanent...

I've been on accutane 2.5 months. (I started on 20, then up to 40 and now on 50)

well, actually no. While my skin before tane was always incredibly oily my hair has always been quite dry so I've always kept my washing at a minimum to not dry it out further and I use loads of oils and conditioners on my hair.

thanks for the replies. I'll keep an eye on it.

I used to take brewer's yeast and then when I started accutane I stopped taking it and maybe that's why my hair is shedding now? (because brewer's yeast is used to counter hairloss)...
I started taking it again yesterday though so we'll see...

Could possibly be why i guess, there is biotin in brewers yeast, if you experiences some extra growth whilst you where taking it and then discontinued, that could possibly be the reason!!
